The Poetic Beauty of Resistance

Description

The strength you see behind these eyes doesn’t reveal

THE REAL–

The constantly imbedded ills,

Witnessed behind the steel.

The curiosity you see in these eyes

Is only due to their daily search for truth.

The darkness around them reveals fatigue,

Tired of the injustice which they’ve seen.

If you look at these pupils closely,

You’ll see the aggression that warns,

“Careful how you approach me.”

Average minds can only surmise

What these eyes have witnessed
