False Democracy

Description

“Democracy”–derived from the Greek;

“Demos”– the People; “kratein”–to rule;

We can’t rule if we can’t speak —

My vote is my voice. Why would you take it away?

You must not care to hear what I have to say.

Right to vote campaign needs your support, indeed,

Our two million caged souls still have needs;

Restorative justice, rehabilitation, reeducation,

Just to scratch the surface.

We want an end to gang enhancement laws which are overtly racist;

We are capable of the highest of highs,

Even while confined to the lowest of lows,

We demand an end to life without parole.
