Description
The weather was freezing outside, and then out of nowhere
it had begun to rain.
My little hands and feet felt as if they were frozen; on
her heavenly face, I saw the pain.
Standing on the sidewalk, we waited; we waited for an eternity
for at least one cab driver to come.
As the wind nipped away igniting a freezing hell to
torment our bodies, I still hoped for at least one.
In the distance my little peepers saw one driving
towards us with its in-service lights on.
Hidden in the shadows was a European couple standing
with fur coats on keeping them warm.
Sticking her arm outward to get the driver’s attention
was the angel who pulled me close,
Looking into her only Son’s eyes, with a smile that glowed.
Then the driver of the cab passed us by when he approached.
To be continued…
